After a long winter, we were ready to get offshore tuna fishing for a change.

There was a big bite down south in the Norfolk last week that had moved up to the Washington. The weather forecast was great and every boat on the east coast was heading to the Washington.

We decided to head north to the Lindenkohl instead of south to avoid the crowds. It turned out to be a good decision because there were very few boats, especially on Sunday when there was only three boats in the canyon.  We ran one of our long trips we are known for that leave on a Friday night and return back to dock Sunday evening.

We got there and all the conditions were right! Good water, lots of porpoise, good weather and a great crew. Saturday was slow until all the boats left. Saturday night we only caught one dolphin but Sunday was great. We had to quit fishing Sunday because we ran out of cooler space and left them biting.
